In case you forgot, Beyoncé made quite a performance at the Super Bowl where she sang her new single “Formation”. And by “quite” I mean she rocked the show, ruled the field, and made it unforgettable. And yes, I’m a fan.
The thing is Beyoncé’s song became the center of critics and made some viewers uncomfortable to the point of organizing an “Anti-Beyoncé Protest” on Tuesday outside the NFL’S New York headquarters, after they said (according to NYMAG) “Beyoncé pulled a race-baiting stunt with her Super Bowl “Formation” performance”.
There is (as everything out there) a big misunderstanding on her song. But despite all, the day of the protest only 3 “anti-beyonce fellows” arrived, against a dozen of PRO-Beyoncé members. Which turned the protest into the perfect platform for people to express their opinions and right to support black lives.
“Formation” is Beyoncé’s new single, it made controversy because the strong support for black lives and symbolisms on its video. The Beyhives are aware of her idol ideology and defend her. At the end the “Anti-Beyoncé Protest” became a good “SHOW THE BEYONCÉ LOVE” movement.
They got in “Formation” to show the song it's just a shout out to care for black lives but also for lives at all. The issue is some people believe she is against white lives or even the police (for her symbolic moves and clothes at the superbowl) but I don’t think so.
And as I read “PRO BLACK IS NOT ANTI WHITE”. And yes, we should all respect it.
